Cool2BCeltic ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 07:10:48 Personally I think this version looks cartoonish. Here Kong is driven by the same life force as Wallace and Gromit. It is indeed slightly erotic when he starts to peel off Miss Wray's clothes and the Hays Office didn't like this scene. It's also a bit naff, 1930s beefcake goes into the jungle to rescue screaming blonde beauty with propensity to fainting. Peter Jackson had a dig at this aspect in his version. I really much prefer Peter Jackson's version. __________________________________________________
barefootgirlmedia ::: Favorites 2007-12-03 08:18:28 The new version is abysmal. __________________________________________________

rabsmiff ::: Favorites 2007-11-24 08:49:13 A milestone in Fantasy-film making, this film will live as long as there is some format for watching movies. __________________________________________________
Skac01 ::: Favorites 2007-11-02 09:51:55 This movie is much better than the re-make , the re-make is like a cartoon and has not much violence , this one has much violence and looks great(it was made in 1933. so give it a little respect) , even today I like to watch it. __________________________________________________
vlad4423 ::: Favorites 2007-10-26 16:06:21 well this isnt good because this is old and they didnt have good computer __________________________________________________
flint55 ::: Favorites 2007-09-14 22:17:10 Please remember that this movie was released in 1933 and the stop motion effects were the cutting edge for its time. While Jackson's re-make is entertaining, the CGI tends to get somewhat comical. How many times and in how many ways can Kong catch Darrow? __________________________________________________
queequeg8942 ::: Favorites 2007-09-10 23:21:54 I sure am glad that Peter Jackson re-made this... I don't think I could have ever stood to watch the entirety of this... I'm sure it would seem better if I hadn't seen the new one, of course... But after seeing the new one, this just isn't all that good, in my opinion. It is kind of funny sometimes though... He he he... With all the jerky movements of Kong, the giant snake, and so on. __________________________________________________

novo38 ::: Favorites 2007-07-02 01:18:24 Kong begins to give Ann a good tickling at 6:57 into the clip to 7:17. Legend has it Merian Cooper had the idea to have Kong tickle Fay Wray's character Ann Darrow in order make the audience roar. Cooper succeeded in making the audience roar way back then and continues to this day as well. Love this scene forever in part 8 and the entire film, Thank you again for uploading. __________________________________________________ |
