TOLLMASTER ::: Favorites 2007-02-16 14:12:15 It would still be an Irem game without an R-Type reference. It wouldn't change the maker's name! __________________________________________________
Nintega ::: Favorites 2007-02-16 16:59:06 Well some of the Irem games I played so far has R-Type references. The final stage Vigilante has a billboard showing the first boss of R-Type 1. Metal Storm for NES shows the Bydo warship in the background where you fight the 5th boss. Undercover Cops has a TV power up which shows the R-9 fighting the first R-Type 1 boss. The is an R-9 compass Disaster Report. You'd be suprised how Irem really whored out R-Type. __________________________________________________
CaptainB2 ::: Favorites 2007-02-16 20:36:55 so... even Irem does the thing with it's shooters? hell I thought Konami was alone in the practice... __________________________________________________
TOLLMASTER ::: Favorites 2007-02-19 13:38:42 Well, they pimped out Disaster Report in R-Type Final (name of a fighter!) and Steambot Chronicles (poster in the same place as the above movie). Actually, a lot of R-Type Final was fanservice--the OF ships are from Image Fight, and the tentacley ships were based on those of X-Multiply. __________________________________________________
karasZero ::: Favorites 2007-09-30 11:44:50 R-Type final was awesome.. __________________________________________________ |
