Once we had defeated Napolean there was no point continuing the war. You live in a British colony and if it wasn't for us you'd be living in an American colony. Our armed forces are the second most funded forces in the world, they are probably the most respected aswell, additionally, the days of Empire are over, Britains colonies are now Commonwealth nations. The Roman Empire endorsed slavery right up until its collapse, don't try and wriggle out of that one you muppet. Not bad for an Island 1/3 size of California with about 1/5 of its natural resources. The British were defeated by the american and the french, Battle of the Chesapeake bay was the nail in the coffin, French navy crushing the british navy.
