Hm .. I love these guys, but this live version sounds really weak. It could be due to the vids quality/sound level but it's just not close to the stuff they do on record. I'd love to seem them live sometime though, def. And I also can't wait for that debut record.

I WANTED TO MAKE A FRESH COMMENT ON THIS VIDEO: this will destroy you aren't trying to be EITS, maybe if you gave them a proper listen you would actualy see they sound nothing like EITS, you can't just presume a band sound like EITS because they dont sing. GROW UP.

You talk about it like it's some kind of boxing match and the weight class is "post-rock". They're different bands and they're not competing. They also don't sound very much alike if you look at song structure, rhythm, pace, and focal points of the songs. In short: DEBATING THE MERITS OF POST-ROCK ACTS VIA YOUTUBE COMMENTS. THE HEIGHT OF ALL ELECTRONIC DISCOURSE.

These guys are nowhere near EITS, not even close. Even if they wanted to, they couldn't clone their sound. But for an EP this album isn't too bad, i'm really curious to see what their next work will sound like.

By the way copying someone isn't so bad either! Everyone has influences whether they like it or not, but you get a lot of YouTube jackasses that dis people for posting covers... guess what! WHAT IF I LIKE PLAYING THIS SONG? Just because I do that doesn't mean I don't have original ideas. Think before you post, and if you don't have any videos of your own, don't fucking post at all.

If you claim that these guys are trying to clone Explosions in the Sky then you could say that Explosions in the Sky was trying to clone my old band in Florida where we got high and tripped (literally) out on melodies. Yeah they sound somewhat similar but it's just trippin' on music, man. Why do so many people have to post shit like someone is trying to copy someone? Maybe they have a lot of the same influences, etc.
