nG370 ::: Favorites 2007-04-28 06:07:06 The way that I like to think of freewill is in a deterministic frame work. Choice is an ever increasing and decreasing quality based on how controlling the systems we operate in are. Less control allows more choice and more control allows less choice. Freewill is most likely the reverse of fatalistic class systems not the reverse of the modern concept of determinism. __________________________________________________ | |
listeningriffin ::: Favorites 2007-04-27 10:35:39 i have been chewing on this for a while, and the only way i see free will being facilitated is by a shift in awareness. if we are aware of certain factors, they can be factored into the deterministic process. if we are not aware, then there is no garentee those factors can influence the situtation (tho they still can). __________________________________________________ |
